Feudums Development Strategy Change - We Need Your Input!

So, we've been talking internally for a while now about moving our development from the "entire build or nothing" approach to a more player-friendly "function and feature" approach.  In the former, and it's what we've been doing - you get a new complete buid every few months with nothing really noticiable going on while we wait.  In the latter, the idea is to create something that we can add to the early demo that will increase its playability every few days or so.  So for example, we work on an aspect of trading and create a function that allows current players to trade resources among themselves.  Then we go on to the next.  No one feature is so large that it takes forever to complete.  I've been assured development completion time won't change but instead, we just won't have those dreadful "dead" weeks where it seems nothing is going on.  And as an added bonus, each new feature should hopefully help the playability or increase the complexity of the current demo.

So I have a question for you:

What are some of the things you would like to see next in our demo version?  You know where we're headed, so what specific items would you like to see us incorporate next?

Let us know!  We're very interested in your answers and you may just see your ideas appear on our development features list!

The demo versions and development to date has been stunning. I've been really excited to see where this is going and follow the development from its beginning to what will hopefully be (and I believe will be) a stupendously successful game.

I've not however seen an update or heard any news from the team for a few weeks. Would there be any chance of a post to let us all know what we should be looking forward to in the next (or next few) releases?

Still in a Holding Pattern

Thraxas (and everyone),

Sorry for the lack of communication lately. As you know, we ran out of investment money recently and that has kind of thrown a wrench into all of our plans. Team members have been looking for different financial solutions for the project and to pay their own bills.

We realize we have a few unfinished changes we wanted to publish by now but that hasn't happened, and we're working on improving this.

Short term, a lot of significant things are changing - a lot more than we initially thought. It means more than a just a chance to catch our breath before we move on again. It’s going to take some time to put the pieces back together again. We ask for your patience as we work through our internal issues.

We'll keep you posted. Feudums will eventually be born. It's just won't be the easy birth we all hoped for.
