Population Allocation Bug

If you add a change of population allocation to the build queue then in the same tick add a change to tax to the build queue. Upload to server. They both appear in the queue. At the end of that tick both will disappear from the queue however only the tax change will have been enacted. The population allocation is ignored.

Thanks for reporting it, I've added this as a possible bug to our list. Will look into it!

World 37 population limit

On world 37 I have a small town 56 max population. I have a happy population 85% (+0.35%) and full rations. My population is however stuck on 36/56 and will not grow.

(edit: got out of this building the town to the next level)

Hm, I have to check it as I

Hm, I have to check it as I don't recall I've ran into the problem on either world. I slightly decreased the base growth rate in the latest tweak but it should be still positive, especially with full rations.

Do you recall if you spotted this in Winter (and if it would continue growing in Spring)? Winter season has an extra growth rate penalty, though it isn't significant enough either to entirely stop growth on a well-fed and happy population.

I've managed to replicate on

I've managed to replicate on quickstart world at settlement size 2 in summer. normal rations 15% tax happy population. population stuck at 36/56

when grown to size 3 settlement the issue persists stuck at 36/120 now.

[edit: It may be to do with initialisation of food rationing? I've not changed from the initial normal rations to half and back to normal - I'll so that when my build to size 4 completes.]

[edit: seems not, after summer, autumn, winter and into later spring no growth while settlement 4 building then suddenly just before build complete I got a +1 population ... is there something that says you get no population growth in the first 2 years? it would seem odd but ...]

I was able to reproduce this

I was able to reproduce this issue. I think I also found the root of this issue so we can look into it as soon as Derek has finished his current tasks on the server. It can be most likely fixed by a server update.

Wood Production

An odd one :
World 37
I have a level 3 town 120/120 population, I've balanced my population to have the minimum population on woodcutting with no loss / gain wood every tick (20 population)
This consistently leaves my wood stock alone.

However when I change my 2 mines from wealth to iron or back again I see my wood stock drop by 1 but only for the tick the change happens. I've managed to replicate but not consitently ...

Can anyone else confirm?

Can no longer change mine output

I have 2 mines one on hills - I can change this output as often as I like
The other on a mountain I have previously changed the output a few time however now whenever I change from iron to wealth and click the upload to server it gets stuck on the communicating with server then at the end of the tick disappears from the queue without enacting the change.

added as a possible bug to our bug list, we will look into it. Have you tried demolishing the mine and rebuilding it to see if the problem persists?

Have you had anything else in the queue of that particular tile?

I previously had a quarry

I previously had a quarry that I deleted and then built the mine. I havent tried deleting then rebuilding but can try that [edit: bah world 37 ended I cant try that but will try to recreate]

natural resources dissapearing

My town is surrounded by a hill and a cliff which each gave me +1 stone, iron or food naturally while I had nothing built on them. After building and demolishing things on those tiles and then clearing them again to have nothing built on them ,I cease to get the natural bonus of stone or iron.
it shows (+0 from hill)

Hi,

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback!

It could be a bug, but there might also be another reason: both natural (tile) and improvement yields are affected by the efficiency of your population, which is derived from their happiness (morale). If they're very unhappy, they gather "natural" resources just as ineffective as they work in any improvement. Do you remember or can check if you had a change in their morale in the compared situations?

That's it.

Yup, that was the problem. When the morale went back up the resources went back to normal.
